My Story

Hi   I'm Helen.......

I love walking and the outdoors and have climbed Snowdon twice in the distant past but on both occasions the weather has been so wet and misty I havent seen a thing! 

A couple of years ago I slipped in the kitchen and broke my knee and was out of action for almost 18 months. I struggled to be house bound and limited in what I could do and it has made me so appreciate being physical again.

I am keen to climb Snowdon to prove to myself I am now mended and can do these things again and also to just enjoy being able to - hopefully to also see the view from the top too!!

Makaton has created so many opportunities for me and has brought me into contact with some amazing people who have and do add things to my life and perspective on life - its very much time for me to support the Makaton Charity in this way as a thank you and pay back :)
